My wife and I met Larry about two years ago. We were flying in from Minnesota to look at homes in the Miromar Lakes area, which we heard about from a friend. We had a layover in Memphis and called Larry from Memphis Airport off of an internet ad we saw. We asked Larry if he was familiar with Miromar Lakes, and he replied that he was very familiar with the development. We asked him if he could show us some homes there and he said "absolutely" and asked when we would be in town. We responded to him that we were going to be there in two hours, of which he responded, "You do know that there is a hurricane coming today!" We said, "yes, can you show us the property or not?" He responded to us, "If you are willing to look at houses during a hurricane, I am willing to show them to you."
He quickly re-arranged his schedule to meet us at the sales office literally about two and ½ hours from our first call to him and he showed us four different homes in different price ranges. We fell in love with the first house we saw, and the next morning made an offer with Larry and ended up buying the house with absolutely no regrets. During this same two day period we were there, Larry also informed us of a land lottery that was ending the evening before we flew home, and we ended up getting another property in the same development right on the water in which we are going to begin building our future home starting this December.
The great thing about Larry and his wife Mary Catherine is that they are not pushy sales people and truly turn out to be great new SW Florida friends. When we closed on our home, we brought our then five year old daughter, and Mary Catherine took her for several hours to a shell store so we could have the necessary time needed. My daughter had a great time and now considers the Whites as part of her new Florida friends as well. They are a great team that gets to know and understand your whole family.
I have referred Larry to several other MN friends, four of whom, have already purchased homes using him as their realtor (one in Naples and three in Miromar Lakes). Our family could not be happier with our decision to purchase a winter home at Miromar Lakes and could not be happier with the realtor we accidentally stumbled on during a hurricane. We see them regularly on our trips there and they have also become good friends with the other people we referred as well. We have built and purchased several other homes over the years in MN and I can tell you that I don’t even recall our past realtors names, let alone any positive memories about the experience. This is not the case with Larry and Mary Catherine—they are two very good honest people you can trust to have your best interests in mind and I would be surprised if you don’t think about inviting them over for the holidays.
